Doris Clare Zinkeisen (1898-1991)

Superb Art Deco painting - captures the zeitgeist of the 1920's.
Doris Zinkeisen and her sister Anna were professional artists and
fashionable figures in London society. Both exhibited regularly at
the Royal Academy. Doris also designed for the London stage, and
later for Hollywood films. This is a self-portrait exhibited at the
Royal Academy under the title of Zinkeisen's married name. In the
theatrical spirit of the age, Zinkeisen poses as if about to
go on stage herself.
